In addition to our regular activities, we are involved in various projects, committees and initiatives and thus endeavor to help shape the scientific, professional and legal policy discourse.

Arbeitskreis Psychologie im Strafverfahren

Founded in 2000, the working group is concerned with psychological testimony, the significance of testimonial psychology in criminal proceedings and the interdisciplinary dialog between expert witnesses and lawyers. Prof. Dr. Stefan König has been a member of its board since its foundation.

A project from science and practice to eliminate, avoid and research miscarriages of justice. Prof. Dr. Stefan König is the first member of the board.

DAV Committee Criminal Law

The Criminal Law Committee of the German Bar Association (DAV) represents the interests of more than 61,000 lawyers in criminal law matters at national, European and international level. Kai Kempgens has been a member of the committee, which consists of twelve lawyers, since 2023.

DAV Committee Gefahrenabwehrrecht

The DAV's Committee on Emergency Response Law represents the interests of its members, which are united in more than 250 local associations, with regard to emergency response law. Prof. Dr. Stefan König has been one of thirteen committee members since 2009.

Prof. Dr. Stefan König is a founding member of the DAV's Human Rights Committee, which deals with current legal policy issues relating to the guarantee of human rights.
